Surrogate Program Requirements

Please review the following minimum qualifications to become a Surrogate Mother in our program.

  • Be between the ages of 21 and 42
  • Have given birth to at least one child
  • Have had uncomplicated pregnancies and deliveries
  • Have a healthy BMI of 18-34 (BMI Calculator)
  • Be in a stable living situation
  • Have the support of spouse or partner (when applicable)
  • Not be on public assistance
  • Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Be able to pass a background check
  • Be willing to take medications via injection
  • Not smoke or take illegal drugs, or be exposed to second hand smoke
  • Be willing to refrain from alcohol throughout the pregnancy
  • Not have any sexually transmitted diseases
  • Enjoy pregnancy

Surrogacy Compensation

prgenantSurrogate compensation is a broad subject. I think that it is safe to say that no one considering being a surrogate is simply in it for the money. While the compensation is good, it is a 24 hour a day job. So, the hourly compensation wouldn’t calculate to be very substantial.

Surrogate compensation is a base amount paid in installments throughout the pregnancy. The average base amount is between $25,000 to $35,000 based on experience, number of fetuses being carried, and insurance coverage.

In addition to the base amount, the surrogate also receives allowances and benefits for her care. You will find that these additional benefits are designed to ensure that surrogates are well taken care of, comfortable and as worry-free as possible.

Ultimately, every surrogate pregnancy is different; but, we make sure that you are fairly compensated for the incredibly important and honorable role you have on someone’s journey to parenthood. Frankly, true compensation is incalculable.
